Hi, everyone!😁

Today, I’d like to introduce some fun and easy Japanese games you can play even at a Basic level. 👏✨

I often use these in my lessons as icebreakers.

They’re games that almost every Japanese person knows—so give them a try with your friends!🎉💓

1. Magical Banana🍌

This is a word association game.

One person says “Magical Banana,” then adds a word (e.g., “banana is yellow”).

The next person must quickly say a word associated with “yellow” (e.g., “sun is yellow”), and so on.

The game continues in a chain, testing your vocabulary and quick thinking!✨

2. Picture Shiritori✏️

A creative twist on the traditional word game Shiritori!

Instead of saying or writing the next word, each person draws a picture that starts with the last syllable of the previous word.

It’s a great way to practice vocabulary and have a laugh at everyone’s drawings!✨

3. Clap on Three!👏

In this fast-paced counting game, players take turns saying numbers in order (e.g., “1,” “2,” “3”), but must stop if the number includes or is a multiple of a specific number (like 3) and clap or make a sound instead. It’s a fun challenge that sharpens focus and listening!

I’ve also created some example images—if you know the answers, please hit the “like” button and share your answer in the comments!💪Have a great day! 🥰
