However, it’s actually really hard to find authentic Udon restaurants in Singapore…!

This restaurant is located on the basement 2 of the Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

It was my first time visiting this stall, and I tried “Mentai-Tamago Shoyu Udon ($15++)”!

This is exactly Udon I wanted to eat!

The udon had that perfect chewy bite, and it really felt like authentic Japanese udon.

In Japanese, we describe this kind of texture as “コシがある”.🥢

The portion is a bit small, so ordering something like tempura on the side might be good.🤔

Also, it’s better to go when you have plenty of time.

I started lining up at 1:27 on a Monday and was seated at 1:55.

I ordered right away, but my udon didn’t arrive until 2:17.⏳

I was this close to starving to death while waiting, so you might want to grab a light snack before you line up. 😂

If you are looking for authentic Udon in Singapore, Udon Shin is definitely a place to have it🏃
