We do not stream our classes online so that teachers can focus on the class in the classroom and students who attend physically can feel relaxed and can more actively participate to the class! 😊

There are 6 levels of progression at Tomo Japanese Language School. For the course description of each level, please click on the links below.
Our lessons include learning of Grammar, Vocabulary, Conversation and Writing. Upon the completion of every level, not only can you start to speak, read and write like a Japanese; you will also be well-equipped to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, better known as JLPT.
Tomo Japanese Language School adopts a systematic course progression to ensure that you are well-equipped to move from one level to the next.
The Course Progression chart shows the SIX levels of proficiency, from Beginner (totally new learners) to Further-Advanced, available at our school, a robust approach which will keep your progress in check. Upon the completion of every level, not only can you start to speak, read and write like a Japanese; you will also be well-equipped to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, better known as JLPT. This is a certification issued by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services to assess and certify the Japanese Language proficiency of those whose native language is not Japanese.

A free placement evaluation will be done by Tomo Japanese Language School prior to your registration so that you can join the appropriate class. However, you are allowed to request to switch to a level you deem more suitable for you during the course of your study.
After a level is completed, the batch of students will progress to the next level in the same timeslot (ie, the class schedule is subjected to change).
Please note that you would need to keep to attending the same class (day of the week and time) during the term that you sign up for. For instance, if you have signed up for Basic Course that is conducted on Friday, even though there's another Basic Course conducted on Saturday, you are not allowed to attend the Saturday class at your discretion. However, should you require a special arrangement, please talk to your teacher in advance
Make up lesson will be offered to students of Beginner, Basic and Intermediate courses who miss a class, subjected to the discretion of your teacher.
